Tournament Structure

Big Slick Poker League players will compete in a tournament bracket consisting of an East and West Division and further broken down by regions broken down by city and or zip code across the DFW Metroplex. The East and West Divisions will not face each other until the annual event where a League Grand Champion will be crowned. The Bracket will have nightly, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual levels. Nightly winners win small prizes and earn points. The top 3 weekly point earners from each region will qualify for the monthly event. The top 4 monthly point earners from each region and the top 8 finishers from each monthly event in that quarter qualify for the quarterly event. The top quarterly point earner from each region, the top 8 finishers from each quarterly event that year, and the top 100 overall point earners for the year will qualify for the annual event. If a player has previously qualified for an event and is also a top point qualifier, the next top point earner will take that spot.

Point Structure

The last eight players remaining in a tournament will receive points according to the following point structure. The original total number of players will be multiplied by 10 and then multiplied by the assigned percentage below according to place earned in the tournament. For example, to determine the amount of points for 1st place, if there are originally 100 players entered into the tournament, take 100 x 10 = 1000. Take 1000 x .30 = 300 awarded points.

Percentage structure is as follows:

  • 1st place gets 30%
  • 2nd place gets 20%
  • 3rd place gets 15%
  • 4th place gets 9%
  • 5th place gets 8%
  • 6th place gets 7%
  • 7th place gets 6%
  • 8th place gets 5%
